Last season the standard of play and the results of matches showed a marked improvement. The 1st XI won twice as many games as they lost and in the five drawn games were only once in a losing position. The Second XI were undefeated. The School is sincerely grateful for the time and energy which Mr. F.P. Hopkins readily gave in coaching the teams. In addition to imparting his detailed knowledge of the game in an attractive manner, he was able to demonstrate effectively. We hope that he will be able to find time to help us next year. The teams were always well turned out and their fielding was first-class.
We must thank O.G. Reed for his keen interest and competent scoring. R.A. Bailey put in a tremendous amount of willing and efficient service in arranging the teas.
