Professor Donald Davis

Donald Davis went to UCL in 1953, graduating in Physics in 1956. He stayed on as a research student, gaining his PhD in nuclear physics in 1959.

After two years as a post doctoral DSIR research assistant, he went as a Fulbright Travel Scholar to the University of Chicago as a research associate (1961 - 62)

On his return to UCL in 1963, he was appointed as lecturer in Physics from 1963, promoted to Reader from 1972, and then Professor in 1986 until his retirement in 2000.

Research interests; strange particle physics, hypernuclear physics, Charm and beauty searches, relativistic heavy ion physics.

He is currently Emeritus Professor, Department of Physics & Astronomy, Faculty of Maths & Physical Sciences.
